1. James Davenport (Devenport) was overseer of the Dogue Run farm at Mount Vernon for two years, from 1763 to 1765. See Ledger A, 185, 207, 233.

2. John Chowning became overseer of Muddy Hole farm at Mount Vernon in 1762, of the dower plantations in York County called Bridge Quarter in 1763, and of the River farm at Mount Vernon in 1764. See Ledger A, 163, 185, 206.
